Sony Ericsson V600i disassembly

Sony Ericsson V600i disassembly

Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver

First remove the battery cover, battery and sim. Next remove the screws you can see.

Run something like the edge of a credit card along the join of the battery compartment. It should then come away with little force.

Your phone should now look like below. A number of clips hold the front cover on around its edge so release then to remove the front cover.

Your phone should now look like below. Lift the keypad from the phone.

At the point indicated by the arrow there should be a small gap which will allow you to lever the screen. Make sure you lift from the right side of the phone due to the position of the ribbon connector (see the next stage).

The ribbon connector, circled, has a black latch which you need to flick over to release the ribbon.

You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the procedure for reassembly.
