Heat gun or hair dryer

Heat gun or hair dryer
You can use a heat gun or hair dryer to make adhesives easier to separate. Heat guns can create a stream of hot air ranging from 200-1000 degrees Fahrenheit.

Soldering Kit

Includes soldering iron and solder. The soldering iron includes a variable temperature dial and LED preheat indicator.

Solder

Solder
Solder is used to create a non-permanent electrically conductive connection between non-ferrous metals. The relatively low melting point of lead (Pb) solder is a perfect match for sensitive electronic components.

Desoldering Wick

Desoldering Wick
The braided Copper in a desoldering wick absorbs solder from pre-existing joints. Removing old solder simplifies the task of soldering new components to thru-hole and surface mount joints.

iPod Opening Tools

Use to separate the front and rear panel of your iPod.

NOTE: These tools are made of a softer plastic than your iPod for the sole purpose of not scratching your iPod casings. This means that repeated use will result in damaged tools. If you do not care about scratching your iPod, a thin metal blade or a guitar pick would work better. Otherwise, try to get the iPod open in the first few attempts or the tools would be rendered unusable.

Tools you need For disassembly a Digital Stuff

Set of slotted/phillips screwdrivers

Oh, man. I absolutely love my WIHA screwdrivers! The best screwdrivers I've ever touched! If you do not have it, I would totally recommend buying it. You'll never regret.

Needle Nose Pliers , Scratch Awl , 3/16 Nutdriver

Torx 8 Screwdriver

Guitar pick (heavy)
It works great as a case separator. The guitar pick is made of plastic softer than the computer's case and prevent potential damage

Container for screws.
I would recommend using small containers to collect screws and small parts when you disassemble a laptop. You name the container according a part you are working on. Usually I use 5 containers:
Bottom, Keyboard, Under keyboard, System board, Screen.
