Sony Ericsson T650i disassembly

Sony Ericsson T650i disassembly

Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver

Before starting, remove your memory card. Now take the back cover off, take the battery out and remove the ten screws you see in the back of the phone.

You can release the back cover. Run your fingernail round the edge of the housing then lift the cover away from the rest of the phone.

Your phone should now be in two parts, like below. Remove the two Phillips head screws near the bottom of the phone

Now lift the keypad part from left to right. The keypad part is held on by a ribbon (obscured by my thumb) which attaches like a plug and socket. The ribbon will unplug when you lift the keypad part away.

You should now have access to the LCD screen. Again, it is held in place by a ribbon which attaches like a plug and socket at the point indicated by the screwdriver in the photo below. Lift it up and it'll unplug

You can then remove the LCD screen and replace with new. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly
