Sony Ericsson T630 disassembly

Sony Ericsson T630 disassembly

Tools required: plastic shim such as a guitar plectrum and T6 screwdriver

First slide the battery cover off the phone

Then take the rubber antenna cover off, and then the camera part. These just lift straight off the housing.

Next remove the aerial cover. Use either your fingernails, or a thin plastic shim & wedge it under the bottom edge of the aerial cover slightly. Then push the aerial cover straight up and it will simply slide off the top of the phone.

Remove the aerial by applying firm pressure upwards & the aerial will slide off the top of the phone

You can now access the four screws holding the front of the case onto the phone. Unscrew all of them, and the front cover will pull away with a little force.

The screen will now be loose apart from the ribbon connecting the screen to the phone. Lightly pull the ribbon from the phone and take note of the hinge mechanism and how the screen is connected as this will help when replacing with the new screen .
