Nokia 6131 disassembly

Nokia 6131 disassembly
Tools required: Plastic tool such as a credit card or guitar plectrum

Run you plastic tool all the way around the join of the cover on the front of the phone to release it.

You should now have the cover removed. Next you need to disconnect two ribbon connectors (circled). These attach like a plug and socket. Simply lift each connector up, away from the circuit board, to unplug it.

Another ribbon connector needs to be disconnected. Again, this is a plug/socket type connection. The green circuit board will now be loose.

Your phone should now look like below. Lever the LCD out at the four points circled below.

You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
