Well, believe it or not the average person has a good chance of diy fixing that digital stuff themselves. All they'll need for most cases is some patience, and a little background knowledge. Sony Ericsson K510i disassembly

Sony Ericsson K510i disassembly
Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver

Remove back cover and battery. Now unclip the front cover. It should be lifted away from the bottom of the phone, as pictured below

You'll now have access to four torx 6 screws. Remove these

Now remove the metal plate which surrounds the screen

Lift the keypad module from left to right. It is held on by a clip at it's top right fixing point (circled below). Just lift it until it unclips

You now have access to the LCD. Push they grey part in the direction of the arrow, indicated below. Now lift the LCD from the top and pull the ribbon away from the socket. Replace the old LCD with the new one. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly
