Nokia 6234 disassembly

Nokia 6234 disassembly

Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver

Remove the battery cover and battery and the two screws you see.

You can now remove the front cover of the phone. Just lift it away from the rest of the phone starting near the bottom. It's held on with clips round the edges which should release with a little force.

You should now have the front cover removed, like below. Remove the four black screws you see.
Now lift the part which holds the screen in place from left to right. Note that the keypad part is still attached to the circuit board by a ribbon, which attaches like a plug and socket. To unplug this ribbon simply lift it up.

Your phone should now look like below.

Unclip the keypad part around the edges.

With the keypad part removed your phone should look like below. Now simply push the LCD screen out of it's frame. You'll have to bend the frame slightly to get it out.

You should now have the LCD screen removed. Replace with new then reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
