Well, believe it or not the average person has a good chance of diy fixing that digital stuff themselves. All they'll need for most cases is some patience, and a little background knowledge. The intent of the posts on this blog are to help provide that knowledge.

Nokia 6230 disassembly

Nokia 6230 disassembly

Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver.

Remove your back cover, battery and sim. Pull the front cover away from the phone from the points indicated by the arrows.

Your phone should now look like below. Remove the six screws you can see.

Lift the frame and key board away from the phone, as shown below. Then lever off the metal LCD frame.

With the metal LCD frame removed your phone should look like below. The circled connector needs to be disconnected. It attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever it up, away from the phone to unplug.

Now simply lift the LCD screen away from the phone. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
