Sony Ericsson W950i disassembly

Sony Ericsson W950i disassembly

Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver, Phillips size 0 screwdriver

After removing your back cover, stylus and battery, remove the two torx screws you see at the bottom of the phone. Then remove the crosshead screw which holds the antenna cover in place.

Run your fingernail all the way around the edge of antenna cover to remove it. Remove the two torx screws you now see at the top of the phone

Now run your fingernail all the way around the edge of front cover to remove it

Now remove the two crosshead screws from the metal plate which covers the ribbon from the LCD screen

Now disconnect the ribbon simply by lifting it upwards (it attaches like a plug and socket)

You can now remove the screen and replace with new

Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly
