Motorola RAZR2 V8 disassembly

Motorola RAZR2 V8 disassembly

Tools required: Torx 5 screwdriver

To replace the LCD screen only the top half of the phone needs to be disassembled. Open the flip so your phone looks like the picture below.

To access the LCD first remove display window. It is attached by double sided tape so will simply peel away.

The LCD is held in place by a metal frame. Lift the frame away. It will require a little force at the bottom where it meets the hinge of the flip. The screen is still attached by a ribbon (circled in green) which attaches like a plug and socket. Simply lift it up and it'll unplug.

You can now lift the LCD screen from the phone and replace with new. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly
